The fibres can be lodged in the lungs
and the body's normal defences cannot break them down. Once lodged these fibres can cause scarring to the lung tissue and after a number of years it is possible for this scarring to develop into one or more serious conditions, some of which are fatal.

Can I work with Asbestos?

NO. Unless you have had the correct Asbestos training, in guidance and equipment, you should not carry out any work which is likely to disturb asbestos materials. If by your actions you expose anyone to asbestos fibres you and your employer are liable to prosecution resulting in a heavy fine and possible imprisonment.

What should I do if I find Asbestos?

Asbestos is only dangerous to your health when the fibres are breathed in. This can only happen if the fibres are airborne. The fibres are contained within the matrix of material. If the material is not disturbed then the fibres should not be released, so avoid disturbing asbestos containing materials at all costs.

Examples

Some examples of the type of materials to be removed with this training;

Asbestos cement (Corrugated Sheets, Soffits, Down Pipes, Cladding) etc.

Asbestos textiles (Rope Seals, Gaskets, Fire blankets) etc.

Composite Products (Vinyl Floor Tiles, Fire Heaths, Window sills) etc.

Bitumen Products (roof Felts, DPC's) etc.

For further details please call 01245 321130 for our full brochure or visit our web site at
www.industrial-training-services.co.uk.
info@industrial-training-services.co.uk.

01245 321130

Thank you for your time & interest

ITS offer a range of training as per the selection below

Abrasive wheel training, Brush cutter training, cable avoidance training, Chain Saw training, confined space entry training, First Aid Training, Health and Safety training, Ladder safety, Manual Handling training, Roping and Sheeting training, Safe working at heights training, Safety Harness training, Scaffold Inspection training, Street works training, Trench support training, vehicle banking training, white lining training, winch training, tractor training, CPCS Training Crawler Crane CPCS Training Tower Crane CPCS Training Forward tipping Dumper CPCS Training Excavator 180°5 tonnes CPCS Training Rough Terrain Forklift CPCS Training Industrial Forklift CPCS Training Telescopic Handler CPCS Training Reach Truck CPCS Training Hoist CPCS Training Wheeled Loading CPCS Training Mobile Elevating Platform CPCS Training Ride on Roller CPCS Training Agricultural Tractor CPCS Training Crawler Tractor Dozer CPCS Training Lorry Loader CPCS Training Skip Handler CPCS Training Slinger Signaller CPCS Training Loader Compressor CPCS Training Dump Truck CPCS Training Excavator 360°below 10 tonnes CPCS Training Mobile Crane CPCS Training Excavator 360°above 10 tonne CPCS Training Plant loader securer CPCS Training Excavator 180°above 5 tonne CPCS Training Pedestrian operated tower crane CPCS Training etc.

CPCS TRAINING

CPCS Training

CPCS Training and Testing

The CPCS training and Testing requires a degree in gobbledygook to get through the various complexities in understanding the CPCS Training requirements for the acquisition of getting a RED or BLUE CPCS Competency card.

Enough said. This will provide you with a sound knowledge base to enable you to pass the H&S test.

You can use the online booking services by logging onto www.citb-construction skills.co.uk/htest or by calling 0870 600 4020 or we can provide this service for you.

YOU MUST COMPLETE AND PASS THE TOUCH SCREEN TEST BEFORE YOU CAN TAKE THE CPCS THEORY TEST.

CPCS THEORY TEST

Due to the nature of the questions contained within the theory test ITS recommend that all candidates book onto a CPCS Training theory day. The CPCS training will take the student through the various components of the test paper to ensure they have the best opportunity in passing the test.

The course handout not only provides you with the questions, but embedded into the content are all the answers.

Theory test (Blue Card Renewal)

For those operatives who are applying to renew their Blue CPCS Card they will need to provide an up-to-date log book. If this is not possible they will need to book an on site assessment prior to taking the theory test.

ALL THEORY TESTS ARE RECORDED ONTO A VOICE RECORDER.

PRACTICAL TEST

Most plant testing must be completed at a CPCS Test Centre and the test duration varies from 45minutes to 3½ hrs. There are some exemptions which are tested on site.

These tests are conducted under strict guidelines set out by CPCS and regular CPCS Monitor visits are made to CPCS test centres to ensure they are complying with the rules.

NATIONAL VOCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

In order for you to move from a trained operator (RED CARD) through to a competent operator (BLUE CARD) you will need to provide evidence of your practical abilities and working knowledge of the industry you are in.
